55DSL and Diedlastnight team up for a 10.55 limited edition T-Shirt

Tuesday, July 27th, 2010

For the upcoming fall / winter season diedlastnight was chosen by 55DSL to collaborate at the 10.55 project. After going through 50.000 images of the diedlastnight archive this is what came out. No cuties with wayfarers nor our beloved fashionistas made it on our tee but the feet of a hardcore skater shot by our team mate Jacopo IAVE Volpe.
We are proud of this collaboration and can’t wait the time to wear our tees! Actually there are just 1055 tees available worldwide so if any of you guys want to buy one of these you should move fast and check out the Milanese 55DSL flagship store in C.so Porta Ticinese, 60 or any authorized 55DSL dealer worldwide!

55DSL loves graphics and loves to work with different artists / graphic designers from around the globe…that’s why the 10.55 project took place! 10.55 is a limited edition project in collaboration with different international artists to whom 55DSL gave complete freedom to design their own t-shirt. Each t-shirt is produced in a limited number of 1055 t-pieces worldwide and only available at authorized 55DSL dealers.

A special thanks goes to Andrea and Laura for making this happen!

In 2001, Brendt Barbur, Founder and Director, was compelled to start the Bicycle Film Festival after being hit by a bus while riding his bike in New York City. Now in its tenth year the festival is held in 37 cities worldwide. 300,000 people are expected to attend this year.

For the second year, BFF Art Director Marco Mucig filmed the trailer supported by the soundtrack of Scuola Furano (http://www.scuolafurano.com).
Marco is an italian director, artist and designer. He has a delicate and a very personal imagery. He signed several video-clips, trailers and TV formats. You can follow his adventures here: http://www.snowgroup.net.

BFF 2010: It’s time to direct your movie

Sunday, March 21st, 2010

After a long winter Spring Time is finally awakening some good vibrations in each one of us!

Why don’t you use some of your vibes to come up with a creative idea for the Bicycle Film Festival and pitch a project about your very personal vision of cycling. Why should you do it, well, we give you 3 good reasons for getting into this creative craze:
. after a damn long winter you’ll finally have the chance to lay down an easy ride and tell us how you love to do it
. taking part in an international movie festival competition brings your artwork all around the globe
. and the most important reason is: BFF is a family, who doesn’t wanna be loved?!!

Bicycle Film Festival is looking for films with a strong theme or character of bicycles.
This includes all mediums and styles such as animation, experimental, narrative, documentary and music videos. The BFF is held in over 30 cities around the world including Tokyo, New York City, Los Angeles, Milano, and London.
In 2009 the BFF was attended by over 200,000 people worldwide.

Hi Riccardo & Gilberto, we’ve been rockin’ to your tunes quite a few times already but now we want to know who the hell you are?

We’re Riccardo & Gilberto and we’re Useless Wooden Toys. The project was born in 2002. We grew up as a guitarist in love with post rock and a BBoy who used to play a lot of funk and hip hop records on his turntables. Then we discovered synthesizers, samplers and electronic music. We love sampling and listening to old music: italian prog, italo disco, blaxsploitation soundtracks, old school hip hop… our motto is ” It ain’t you finding the sample … but it’s the sample finding you ” we’re like a californian surfer who is waiting for the perfect wave ;-)

Hi Elena, now it’s you turn! do you have something to tell us?

You’ll find loads of different jobs in my cv. I tried everything: taylor, art editor, cook, producer, seller of design pieces and entertainer. My brain decides randomly what to do and where to go and so I find myself jumping from one situation into another like a cricket sneaking into projects that fascinate me. One thing is for sure, I’m not one of those folks that resist living in an office. I know I’m fickle
